 The Inn offers a wealth of activities right on premise – from horseback riding, hiking, fishing and swimming, to tennis and glider rides – there’s plenty to do for every outdoor enthusiast. In the winter, enjoy the outdoors with our XC ski center and 30km of groomed trails, ice skating, tubing, and snowshoeing. For those wishing to explore the many activities and attractions this area has to offer, the Franconia Inn is in the perfect location to explore the beauty and excitement of the White Mountains in every season.

Summer Activities & Rentals: As the spring temperatures melt the winter snows, a marvelous transformation takes place at the Inn. Clay tennis courts and a large swimming pool emerge, while cross-country ski equipment gives way to horses & saddles. Mountain bike trails replace snow-packed ski trails, and our friendly ski instructor dons his equestrian hat as a skilled wrangler.

 Horseback riding: $95 per person, must be at least 10 years old to ride. 1 hr, scenic, guided walking tour of the trails behind the Inn. Can accommodate groups of up to 6 people. Special Mountain Sports Club members offer – Horseback riding: $10 off 1 ride. 1 use per group.

Mountain Biking: The Franconia Area Trails offer 33 trails with a wide range of terrain, length, and difficulty for beginner and experienced cyclists alike. Mountain and road bike rentals available at the White Mountain Bike shop right next to the Inn.

Tennis: If you want to work up a sweat, grab a tennis racquet and a partner and head across the street to our four natural clay tennis courts! One of our courts is divided into two pickleball courts. Equipment for both sports is available at the front desk. Court Rentals – $20/hr, $30/2hr. Racquet/Paddle rentals – $5 each. Special Mountain Sports Club members save with a ½ price court rental.
