There are many areas across Colorado that offer cross-country access, including parks, state forests, and nature reserves. Here are some of the Nordic and Cross Country areas and centers.
Aspen Snowmass Nordic Trail System –Â Aspen, CO. One of the largest free trail systems in the country, offering 90 km of trails connecting Aspen, Snowmass Village, and Basalt.
Beaver Creek Nordic Center – Avon, CO. Provides a complete pro shop with rental gear for classic, skate, telemark, and snowshoe equipment, along with 32 km of trails.Â
Breckenridge Nordic Center – Breckenridge, CO. Features a pro shop with a selection of skis and snowshoes for all ability levels, offering 30 km of trails.Â
Crested Butte Nordic Center – Crested Butte, CO. A premier cross-country ski destination with 50 km of groomed trails for classic skiing, skate skiing, and snowshoeing.
Eldora Resort Nordic Center – Nederland, CO. Offers a full rental service plus a pro shop with gear and equipment for sale, featuring 40 km of trails.
Frisco Nordic Center – Frisco, CO. Provides 28 km of trails for skate-skiing and classic cross-country skiing, plus 8 km of snowshoe trails.
Gold Run Nordic Center – Breckenridge, CO. Features a newly remodeled clubhouse and a well-stocked pro shop, offering 30 km of groomed Nordic trails.
Grand Lake Nordic Center – Grand Lake, CO. Surrounded by Rocky Mountain National Park and Arapaho National Forest, offering 35 km of trails.
Keystone Resort Nordic Center – Keystone, CO. Provides 17 km of groomed trails and access to 40 km of backcountry trails throughout White River National Forest.
Tennessee Pass Nordic Center – Leadville, CO. Provides 27 km of trails and offers a unique dining experience at the Tennessee Pass Cookhouse.
Vail Nordic Center – Vail, CO. Transforms the Vail Golf Club into a full-service Nordic center with 17 km of groomed skate and classic tracks.
Spring Gulch Nordic Area – Carbondale, CO. A cross-country ski area offering a variety of trails with views of Mount Sopris and the Elk Mountains.
